“Susan was instrumental in rolling out CSC's global brand refresh, doing the hard work of specifying detailed design standards and implementing new applications across all media, among many other efforts. She's a knowledgeable and experienced [leader] and professional, and I can easily recommend her [for effective global marketing and communications.]”

Results are the barometer of any professional service. The following illustrate the impact we have achieved for our some of our clients in the areas of marketing strategy, branding, media planning, and plan implementation. Perhaps you will find something familiar for your organization.
Branding | CSC
After the dot.com crash of the late ‘90s, CSC needed to reevaluate its positioning in the marketplace as the IT environment and client’s needs
had shifted.
Solution: Through primary and secondary research, we surveyed current and potential clientele, discovering their updated IT needs, current perceptions about CSC meeting those needs, and their long-term business and IT objectives.
The Result: The CSC brand was effectively revamped to include an updated corporate value proposition, key differentiators, identity, tagline, and “look & feel” graphic expression. Once developed, the new brand was rolled out to Marketing Directors worldwide with the Styleguide website re-launched for consistent global implementation. Six months after brand re-launch, awareness among the target audience had increased by more than 10%.
Media Planning | Hermès
An established brand in luxury retail, Hermès was re-opening its Tysons Corner, VA store. In conjunction with a local event and communications firm and Hermès corporate offices in New York & Paris, we determined the business and event appeals for the Washington, DC luxury retail market and devised a media strategy (including social media) that generated interest in
the new store.
The Result: Business reviews and interviews with corporate executives from Paris in The Washington Post, Business Week, and Wall Street Journal, as well as local social media interest and local clientele turnout.
Strategic Planning & Implementation | CSC
After the bombings of 9/11, CSC and other defense contractors had to reorganize to support Homeland Security. First, we worked with CSC to determine government agencies’ needs and vulnerabilities, and then we matched these to CSC’s offerings and capabilities to detect, protect, and apprehend homeland threats. This gave us the information we needed to develop the marketing strategy aligned precisely to Homeland Security.
The Result: A cross-agency strategy was launched with a focus on detecting various security threats in multiple platforms for over one year. Business and initial contracts with Homeland Security were increased.
Training & Coaching | IBX
This insurance company had recently instituted new executive management. With new vision came new goals and objectives. To help achieve these for the company, corporate marketing was asked to “step up” and provide leadership to the rest of the organization. That’s when SHHInternational was asked to help train the marketing team in its commitment to take the company to “the next level.”
Solution: Work with corporate marketing executives to identify the areas with the highest priority for impact and create a workshop to accomplish these.
The Result: Staff lead the company in their new more responsible roles, consistently meeting
the new executive’s vision and timelines.
Branding & Strategic Planning | Government Agency
A government agency needed to reposition itself internally and with the public as a more “helpful” agency. It had been voted in the ‘80s as the most disliked government agency. In the decades succeeding, they had reorganized to better meet the needs of the public and instituted new leadership. Now the new positioning needed to be communicated.
Solution: Rebrand the agency. As a diverse, nationwide group, there was no overall identity. Each division communicated officially using their own parameters. SHHInternational worked with the communications and marketing departments to develop, approve, and institute one brand.
The Result: The overall brand was repositioned with leadership and employees through an internal communications strategy to include the Styleguide website and was consistently used since to communicate with the public.
Branding, Strategic Planning & Implementation | Government Agency
A government agency needed to update its perception with the public. Our team went to work on the goals for the organization, and developed the objective of making the agency seem accessible and to include the agency as a preferred career choice for young professionals. Through updated rebranding to appeal to the career objectives of a young demographic and strategic planning to better reach the target audience(s), an impactful marketing strategy and media plan were created and implemented.
The Result: The Agency was “put on the map,” its brand was revitalized, and positive nationwide press coverage resulted.
